October marked the launch of our new Church Planting Network. Six churches have committed to take up the challenge of reproducing daughter churches.
Our first official meeting was a gathering for pastors called Barnabas Time. It is a place for Pastors to encourage each other, not only in the task of church multiplication, but in any aspect of ministry and personal needs.
We are excited about this network for several reasons. We have a great leadership team. Pastor K, a key national coach involved in networks across Japan, is again providing coaching and a wealth of experience. Pastor and Mrs. U, having started a vibrant church in the previous network, are bringing new ideas and energy as the local Okinawa area coaches. We feel really blessed to be a part of this team.
It is wonderful to see the mix of churches that God has brought together for this network. The 6 churches come from various groups. Two pastors have been involved in previous networks. The churches in the group are also at different stages from just starting to think about church planting, to those who are well into the process of local ministry.
We are excited about the potential we see in this network. We so appreciate your prayers for Okinawa Church Planting Network 3.
